Her research focuses on the formation of identities of displaced people in Cyprus in periods of conflict, using oral history and technology. She is interested in the creative use of oral history and its application in formal and informal education. She is the creator of the People of Cyprus Oral History Project (www.peopleofcyprus.cy) and a founding member of the Cyprus Oral History Association.

Iliana Koulafeti is a PhD student in the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, with a background in History-Archaeology (National and Kapodestrian University of Athens/2013) and a master's degree in Contemporary Greek History (University of Cyprus/2019).Â
