ABOUT THE POSITION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Centre is seeking two Project Officers to join its fast-growing team of passionate and enthusiastic professionals. The job holders will be a) supporting the activities of the CYENS research office (RO) and b) supporting the implementation of the Cyprus DIGital INNovation Hub (DiGiNN) project.  DiGiNN is part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in the Digital Europe program aiming to ensure that innovative digital solutions, based on new technologies, are integrated into the day-to-day business of companies and public administrations. Reporting line: Head of Research Office.   Responsibilities of Project Officer:   1) Support the activities of the CYENS Research Office 
  • Develop and support strategic relationships with high performing universities, governmental, non-governmental, and private sector entities. 
  • support the coordination and management of ongoing and new projects. 
  • Collect and analyze data and develop project KPIs. 
  • Assist in the organization of workshops, training programmes and other dissemination activities. 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations about the Centre, department and projects. 
  • Support the general administration of the RO  
  • Contribute towards the development of the Centre’s Key Performance Indicators  
  • Follow any other duties as specified by the management or relevant procedures. 
2) Support the implementation of the Cyprus DIGital INNovation Hub (DiGiNN) project 
  • Support the coordination and management of the DiGiNN Project  
  • Organize and participate in networking events with the local industry and government sectors 
  • Support in the organization of project meetings and events  
  • Support the development of project deliverables 
  • Collect and analyze data and report on the project Key Performance Indicators 
  • Support the project manager in any other project related activity 
General Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Degree of a level equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) or Diploma or Certificate or other study title or qualifications in relevant field.  
  2. Relevant experience in project management is an advantage but not required.  
  3. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and especially Microsoft Excel.  
  4. Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills are essential.  
  5. For non-EU applicants a work permit will be required 
  6. Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.  
  7. Certification in Project Management or equivalent (e.g. PMP, Prince2) will be considered an advantage. 
Profile of the ideal candidate:
  1. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.   
  2. Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, having the ability to deal confidently and politely with enquiries.   
  3. Very good analytical skills coupled with attention to detail.   
  4. Dynamic, adaptable, hands-on and results driven. 
  5. A team player with an ability to work independently and under pressure.  
  6. High levels of commitment, energy, and drive. 
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
Applicants who meet the following requirements for the HRDA scheme for recent graduates will also be considered: 
  • Have successfully completed a higher education program of at least three (3) years and hold at least a bachelor's degree/diploma of higher education.  
  • They are under the age of thirty (30).  
  • If the graduate has work experience related to the position, it must not exceed eight (8) months.
