Amir Azizi

Amir Azizi received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence from Azad University, Iran, in 2020. Prior to this, he earned a master's degree in artificial intelligence and robotics from Azad University in Iran in 2009, as well as a bachelor's degree in computer software engineering in 2001.

Amir has over a decade of experience as a faculty member in Iran, where he specializes in teaching graduate students Digital Image Processing. In 2021, he became a research engineer at KIOS CoE while also earning a second master’s degree in Intelligence Critical Infrastructure. This program, given jointly by the University of Cyprus and Imperial College London, resulted in his second master’s degree in May 2023.

Amir has vast experience in natural disaster management, having worked with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the World Health Organization’s Office for Safety Community for more than 15 years. 

Since May 2023, Amir has been a member of CYENS, where he works as a post-doctoral researcher in the V-EUPNEA team, giving his skills to cutting-edge research projects.
