Giorgos Dimoglou

Giorgos has graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with an Integrated Master’s (2019) and a Master of Arts (2021) in Film and Television Studies. He had the highest grades among other students during both graduation ceremonies and has received a reciprocal scholarship for his academic performance (2018) as well as a best master’s thesis award (2021). As a director and editor of short videoart films, he has participated in various festivals and exhibitions, such as the 14th Audiovisual Arts Festival of the Ionian University, the Museum of Modern Art of Thessaloniki, and the Bibart Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Bari. At the same time, he remains active as a researcher, having presented his study on interactive films at the 6th Narrative, Media, and Cognition

Conference (October 2021) and having his review of Jenna Ng’s The Post Screen (2021) published at the New Techno Humanities Journal of Elsevier (May 2022).

During his internship at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre – National Library of Greece (June–August 2021) he gained valuable experience in photography, scanning and editing of old texts in need of preservation. He continues to develop his skills as a Multimedia & Design Officer at CYENS Centre of Excellence after completing a yearly internship at CYENS Thinker Maker Space. Born in Veria, Greece, he now resides in Nicosia, Cyprus.
