Decision making in the center will be carried out at different levels in its hierarchy. The Centre is governed by the Board of Directors (BoD) that is advised by an Advisory Committee. The day-to-day operations will be run by the General Director (GD) whereas the EC will be responsible in high-level decisions concerning the implementation of the work plan of the Centre according to its strategy. The activities of CYENS will be executed under its three Departments: Research, Innovation and Operations. The Research and Innovation Departments will seamlessly collaborate to deliver all the planned RTDI activities, while the Operations Department will critically provide the supporting mechanisms for the overall operation of the Centre, and its departments. After the BoD decision on the 19.01.2023 the structure of the Centre has been adjusted as shown in the figure below:

Members and roles of the EC

The Executive Committee (EC) will consist of the General Director (CEO), the Chief Innovation Officer, the Head of Operations and two more Executive Members (EM) from the CYENS Council (CC). The EC will provide oversight and will be responsible to implement and execute all strategic decisions and planning of the Board of Directors (BoD) and in charge of monitoring the progress of the Centre, quality assurance, and the day-to-day management of scientific and technological activities. A high level of executive responsibility is required by all EC members. All EC members will report to the General Director and be evaluated by the GD. The BoD may evaluate any EC member upon request.
