The Main Objective of PRISM is to develop a new paradigm for the dynamic, multicultural archiving and retrieval of intangible cultural assets, which still grounds them into the tangible ones. The paradigm will consist of best practices as well as an open technological infrastructure, which will be built using semantic resources coupled with novel crowdsourcing methodologies. Digital assets will be archived in the local language of the asset/curator, to maintain the integrity of the socio-cultural context. However, retrieval, re-use and even enhancement at another point in time/space – by experts and non-experts alike – will be facilitated, as language and culture will be mapped – and updated over time – via our tools. The PRISM paradigm will produce a more comprehensive picture of CH assets, as it fosters the co-creation of knowledge, capturing the diversity of interpretations of experts and non-experts across time and space. Finally, PRISM treats natural language not only as a challenge to the use/re-use of intangible CH assets; language is treated as an intangible  cultural asset in and of itself, as the PRISM platform will constantly update its linguistic/semantic resources through crowdsourcing.
