BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
It all began in 2014 with a vision shared by a few passionate academics. Nicosia’s Mayor, Constantinos Yiorkadjis, championed the idea of establishing a Center of Excellence in the heart of the old city. His unwavering advocacy and support were instrumental in bringing CYENS to life a few years later.
Since its inception, Mayor Yiorkadjis has been a steadfast promoter of our center, reflecting his deep pride in its achievements. We, too, are immensely proud to have had him as the President of our Board of Directors.
On Thursday the 27 June 2024, it will mark his final Board of Directors meeting with us. We will miss his passion, dedication, and enthusiasm – even his spirited discussions.
We wish him the very best in his new endeavors and assure him that he will always remain a cherished part of our CYENS family.
As we bid farewell to Mayor Yiorkadjis, we will warmly welcome Charalambos Prountzos, the new Mayor of Nicosia, as the President of our Board. We are honored to have him lead us into the future and look forward to achieving great things together.
