The Studio is a research laboratory at CYENS Centre of Excellence where researchers investigate emerging technologies in motion capture, volumetric capture, multi-user immersive VR, real-time rendering, and human-computer interaction. The facility provides essential infrastructure for CYENS research groups working on computer animation and virtual humans, extended reality applications, movement analysis and rehabilitation, and immersive experiences for cultural heritage.

The Studio at CYENS – Centre of Excellence
Equipped with a professional-grade LED volume stage, optical and inertial motion capture systems, a volumetric capture array, and VR development spaces, The Studio enables researchers to conduct experiments, develop prototypes, and validate new approaches across disciplines. The same infrastructure that supports research also makes it possible to offer production services to Cyprus’s film and creative industries through the DiGiNN initiative (European Digital Innovation Hub Cyprus), applying a “Test Before Invest” philosophy that allows professionals to experiment with advanced technologies before committing to major investments.
