He got his BSc in Computer Science and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2002 and his MSc in Advanced Systems Technologies in 2005 from the same university. Dr. Charalambous worked as a researcher and engineer on several projects funded by Horizon 2020, RPF and other agencies. He is a member of the ACM, the Eurographics association and has served as a reviewer of several prestigious journals and conferences. Reviewer credits include journals such as ACM’s Transactions on Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics and conferences such as Eurographics, Symposium on Computer Animation (SCA), Motion Interaction and Games (MIG) and CASA.

Alexis holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus (2024). In the past, he has worked under the supervision of Professor Andreas Aristidou, on a project involving motion retargeting between characters with substantially different forms of locomotion. His main research interests include Computer Animation and Machine Learning.

Amir has over a decade of experience as a faculty member in Iran, where he specializes in teaching graduate students Digital Image Processing. In 2021, he became a research engineer at KIOS CoE while also earning a second master’s degree in Intelligence Critical Infrastructure. This program, given jointly by the University of Cyprus and Imperial College London, resulted in his second master’s degree in May 2023.

Amir has vast experience in natural disaster management, having worked with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the World Health Organization’s Office for Safety Community for more than 15 years. 

Since May 2023, Amir has been a member of CYENS, where he works as a post-doctoral researcher in the V-EUPNEA team, giving his skills to cutting-edge research projects.

Ismail Kamil Hadjri Giraldo is a specialist in AR and VR development, crafting interactive experiences for tourism, education, and marketing. With a background in 3D art, architectural visualisation, and product and automotive advertising, he blends creativity with technical expertise. Since graduating in 2020 from The Hanze University with a BSc in Game Design and Development, he has worked across digital marketing, visualisation, and immersive design, delivering high-quality interactive experiences.

Dr. Mercè Álvarez de la Campa Crespo is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Graphics and Animation at the PULSE group, CYENS Centre of Excellence. With a background in Physics (University of Barcelona) and a Master’s in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), her work centers on immersive technologies, motion capture, and their application in health and human-computer interaction. Her PhD explored VR tools for chronic pain therapy using mocap and perceptual distortion, demonstrating real clinical impact. She is passionate about transforming innovative research into impactful, real-world applications through VR, computer graphics, and AI.

Theodoros received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2021 and his Master’s degree in 2022, both from the University of Cyprus. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the same university, focusing on Computer Graphics in the domain of musical instrument performances. He works as a Research Associate at the CYENS Centre of Excellence within the PULSE MRG. His research interests include Character Animation, Motion Capture, Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, and Audio Analysis.
