CYENS Summer School 2025: Empowering the Next Generation of AI Explorers July

This July, CYENS Centre of Excellence proudly wrapped up its first-ever Summer School: “Train Your Own Mini AI”—a 10-day hands-on journey into Python programming and Machine Learning, designed especially for curious 13–15-year-olds.

With no prior coding experience required, the program focused on accessible, engaging, and real-world learning, giving young participants the tools to understand and shape the technologies of tomorrow. Under the expert guidance of Prof. Marios Pattichis (University of New Mexico) and with the support of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the students explored the basics of AI in a supportive, inspiring environment.

This inaugural summer school reflects CYENS’ commitment to early tech education, digital literacy, and inclusive innovation. A heartfelt thank you to our students, instructors, and partners who made this learning experience both fun and impactful.
