CYENS Centre of Excellence is proud to support the 1st Mitsikouri International Performing Arts Festival for Children and Young People, organized by the ASSITEJ Cyprus Centre for Theatre for Children and Young People. The festival will take place from October 25 to November 3, 2024, bringing together 11 high-level performances of theatre, dance, and music for children, from 10 different countries, including the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Lithuania, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Iceland, and Finland.
This festival aims to showcase the latest international trends in performing arts for children, while also offering magical, touching, and joyful moments for the whole family. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, most of the productions featured will be in the category of non-verbal theatre, making them accessible to all children, regardless of language.
CYENS will not only be a strategic partner for the event but will also host workshops and screenings as part of the festival’s extensive parallel program. These activities, aimed at children, parents, arts professionals, and educators, will offer enriching experiences, including discussions and lectures to further engage audiences.
Performances will take place across seven different venues in Nicosia, Limassol, and Lefkara, with tickets available for purchase starting September 13 through SoldOut Tickets. For performances in Limassol, tickets will be available via the Rialto Theatre website.
