On a memorable evening at the Old Municipal Market in Nicosia, CYENS Centre of Excellence celebrated a defining moment—the successful completion of the RISE Project and its formal transformation into CYENS Centre of Excellence. The event brought together a dynamic gathering of collaborators, researchers, and stakeholders who played a vital role in this journey of growth and reinvention. 

The celebration featured keynote speeches, live technology demos, and heartfelt reflections that traced the evolution of CYENS from an ambitious vision into a thriving hub for research, innovation, and societal impact. As we marked this milestone, we also looked forward with renewed purpose to the future we are building together. 

The recent final EU Review praised CYENS for its excellence in social innovation, for offering vocational training through HRDA as a bridge to market adoption, and for fostering strong ties with the tech community. On governance, we were encouraged to continue strengthening our foundation. Most importantly, the reviewers recognized that CYENS is about people and urged us to keep that spirit alive.
