🌍📊 We’re excited to share that Dr. Savvas Karatsiolis, a member of the SuPerWorld group at CYENS, recently participated in the 19th Conference on Computer Science and Intelligence Systems (FedCSIS 2024, IEEE #61123). There, he presented his paper titled, “Towards Understanding Animal Welfare: A Chicken Farm Monitoring System for Inferring AI-powered Analytics”, now published in the conference proceedings.
🐓💡 This innovative research leverages AI technologies to monitor and enhance livestock welfare. By analyzing audio, video, and sensor data collected in real-time on animal farms, the AI system detects anomalies and alerts farm owners to potential risks such as flock illnesses, environmental hazards, or intruders. These insights empower farm owners to act swiftly, improving productivity, product quality, and overall business outcomes.
