Andreas Papallas

Andreas Papallas (he/him) is a Research Associate at the Human-Computer Interaction Multidisciplinary Research Group at CYENS Centre of Excellence. He is completing his DPhil at the University of Oxford in Sustainable Urban Development. In parallel, he is a practising Architect and has held research appointments at the University of Cyprus and Cyprus University of Technology.

He holds a bachelors in Architecture from the University of Sheffield and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in Architecture and Urban Design. He is particularly interested in design research methodologies, participatory design and co-creation and has recently co-led a research project in collaboration with Harvard University in Sustainable Urban Governance funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation. With Prof. Panayiotis Zaphiris, he is coordinating the Youth Makerspace Larnaka since 2017, making it the biggest consultancy of the university and first makerspace in Cyprus encouraging thousands of young people to engage with design and making.
