Andronikos Xydas

Andronikos Xydas has served as an Aviation Logistics Officer in Ministry of Defence of Cyprus (National Guard General Staff) until recently. He is a Certified Logistics and Procurement Officer. He has many years more than 20, experience in logistical support, procurement, monitoring FOS contracts and conducting of Tenders. Experience also in standardization, certification, and accreditation. He has served for many years in the most critical positions for the procurement support of the armed forces of the Republic of Cyprus, as Head of the Tender’s Department in the Ministry of Defence of Cyprus, as Head of Supplies / Procurement Department C4 and as Support Squadron Commander of the Cyprus Airforce Command and as a Director of the Defence Planning and Armaments Directorate and as

Head of D Branch of the Cyprus National Guard General Staff (NGGS).

From 2015 since 2021 he was an active member as National Representative in material standardization groups (EDSCMG, JMC EDSTAR) of European Defence Agency, also to the international Material Standardization and Harmonization Team (MSHT) and as a contact person between CY MOD, NGGS and Cyprus Standardization Organization (CYS).

He will soon obtain his master’s degree at the Open University of Cyprus in the field of Technology Management and Quality. He is also an authorised Technical Inspector to the demands of Standard ISO 9001 and a Certified Programmer in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
