Miria Plastira

Dr Miria Plastira is a post-doctoral Research Associate at the Neo-Move Group at CYENS Centre of Excellence. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, an MA degree in Social and Developmental Psychology and a BA in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Cyprus. Her research primarily centers around Time Perception. In her previous research she explored the effect of the speed of auditory stimuli, particularly speech and music, on time perception. Her expertise extends to investigating the experience of the passage of time within Virtual Reality environments and the impact of diverse environmental attributes on temporal perception. In addition to research, she also taught undergraduate courses like Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Research Methods in Psychology and, as a teaching assistant, she contributed to the Quantitative Research Methods course in the Department of Social and Political Sciences of University of Cyprus.
