
Sophia Ppali
Sophia Ppali (she/her) is a Research Associate at CYENS Centre of Excellence and an Associate Lecturer in Interaction Design at the School of Arts, Media and Communication of University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus. She recently completed her PhD at the University of Kent doing research exploring the design space of remote music performances. Sophia brings 10 years of design and research experience, having worked with organisations such as Nintendo of Europe, Barts Health NHS Trust, the Creative Computing Institute at University of Arts London and the Royal Veterinary College amongst others. A designer and digital artist, her work explores the design of immersive experiences using human-centred approaches. Prior to her PhD, Sophia earned an MSc in Global Innovation Design from Imperial College London, an MA from the Royal College of Art and a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts, with a year in industry, from the University of Kent.
