ABOUT THE POSITION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

About the position The Centre is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of our premises. The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring all areas are kept clean, sanitized, and presentable. The role involves cleaning of the CYENS Centre of Excellence premises located in the old town of Nicosia, as well as supporting offices in close vicinity to the main building. Reporting line: Procurement and Facilities Manager Hours: 8 hours/day. Working hours and shifts may be modified and adjusted as necessary, either planned or extraordinary. Responsibilities of Cleaner:

Perform general daily cleaning, sanitizing and dusting of all areas, including offices, doors, corridor glass, furniture, conference rooms, kitchens (shelves, sink, worktops, tables, chairs), toilets, hallways, elevators, stairs, balconies, windows and outside furniture.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Empty and clean all bins including recycling bins and shredding machine, properly dispose of and recycle waste.
Replenish supplies, such as paper towels, soap, toilet and kitchen paper, and antiseptic liquids in hand sanitizers.
Periodically clean kitchen appliances such as fridges, microwaves, grills, ice-machines, coffee machines, etc.
Assist administration officers with consumable and kitchen deliveries, as well as preparation/ordering of food and drinks.
Cleaning of meeting and conference rooms before and after meetings.
Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs.
Follow company guidelines for health and safety.
Assist with general tasks and support other team members as required.

General Qualifications & Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Relevant training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals, and general workplace hygiene will be considered an advantage/ requirement.
At least 6 months of continuous experience in similar cleaning role is required.
Proven basic knowledge of cleaning services, workplace health and safety in the workplace.
Language requirements: Excellent oral English-language skills will be required. Basic knowledge of Greek language will be considered an advantage.
For non-EU applicants a valid work permit is required
