CYENS Centre of Excellence is a leading Research and Innovation hub specializing in Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies. As the only organization in Cyprus dedicated to immersive technologies, it plays a vital role in advancing knowledge and facilitating technology transfer across the region. Supporting Healthy Aging Through Innovation

ENCOuRAge is a digital platform designed to support older adults living in rural areas by helping maintain and strengthen cognitive abilities through engaging, game-based activities.

Through the deployment of the platform in rural care settings, older adults are actively engaging with interactive cognitive exercises designed to support memory, attention, executive function, and visuospatial abilities in an accessible, enjoyable, and user-friendly way.

The platform has been deployed in the rural community of Solea, including at the Solea Multipurpose Centre, helping bring digital cognitive support directly to older adults in remote areas.

By bringing digital cognitive support directly into rural communities, ENCOuRAge contributes to improving access to cognitive care and empowering older adults to take an active role in their mental well-being.

ENCOuRAge is a joint effort between:

The platform was developed as sub-project of the FUTURAL project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
