Our Work
CYENS Centre of Excellence is a leading Research and Innovation hub specializing in Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies. As the only organization in Cyprus dedicated to immersive technologies, it plays a vital role in advancing knowledge and facilitating technology transfer across the region. This Centre is the result of a unique collaboration between three public universities—the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology.
Projects
At CYENS, projects are where ideas come to life. They embody the interdisciplinary nature of our Centre, connecting cutting-edge research with real-world applications across technology, the arts, and the sciences. From experimental prototypes to large-scale collaborations, our projects reflect the creativity, professionalism, and inclusivity that guide all our work.
Every project is an opportunity to address societal challenges, explore new possibilities, and foster innovation that makes a difference. Whether advancing urban resilience, designing new human-computer interactions, or supporting cultural heritage, our teams bring diverse expertise together to shape solutions with tangible impact.
By working closely with academia, industry, government, and communities, CYENS projects extend far beyond the lab. They are designed not only to generate knowledge, but also to inspire collaboration, nurture talent, and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
